If you’re looking for creamy, rich ice cream, look no further than Ed’s Real Scoop. The shop offers 100 different flavours of ice cream like Callebaut Milk Chocolate and Strawberries and Cream along with sundaes, milkshakes, and floats. Their original location is in the Beaches. To keep up with popular demand, a second shop was opened in Leslieville and a third shop in Roncesvalles this year.
Dolce Gelato is run by Calabria-native Pino Luca.The gelato here is made in the true Italian style. That means big flavours which taste just like their ingredients. Flavours are Pistachio Sicilia, Bacio, Frutti Di Bosco, Nocciola and lot’s more.
When Janet Dimond launched a one-day popsicle pop-up in 2011, she had no idea that her frozen treats would become such a hit. The icy innovators are now readily available in farmers markets and are sold in retailers and restaurants across the city. They come in flavours like Pineapple Coconut Lime and Strawberry Basil Lemonade.
A recent addition to the Ossington strip, Bang Bang serves up oversized ice cream sandwiches. The list of flavour combinations is extensive from Burnt Toffee, White Sesame, London Fog and even a Bellwoods Brewery stout. The nicest part is that you get to select what type of cookie or puff pastry you want with your ice cream.
This vegan friendly cafe is best known for their savoury crepes but they also make their own version of dairy-free ice cream. They even manage to pull off flavours like Black Sesame and Chai. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!
